What is church membership?
Church membership is a formal relationship between a believer and a local church body. The church commits to oversight of the Christian's discipleship and the Christian commits to being discipled under the care and shepherding of the church.
How do I become a member?
Membership is a four-step process:
1. ) ATTEND A MEMBERSHIP CLASS.
Membership classes cover the what, why, and how of membership at EBC. They are held every other month after the service. Lunch is provided and usually childcare can be arranged. Watch the Events Page to sign up for the next one! Not able to make a class? Contact Pastor Trevor to schedule a time to cover the material another time.

2. ) AFFIRM OUR GUIDING DOCUMENTS AND SUBMIT APPLICATION.
Included in our Membership Class materials is our Doctrinal Essentials document, our Member Covenant, and a Membership Application. Please complete the application, also available in a DIGITAL FORMAT, and sign your agreement with the Membership Covenant and Doctrinal Essentials.

3.) MEET WITH A PASTOR.
After submitting an application and affirming the guiding documents, you’ll be prompted to schedule a membership interview with a pastor. This interview is intended for our pastors to hear more about your story, to tell you more about covenant membership, and to answer any questions you might have related to our church.

4. ) ATTEND A MEMBER MEETING.
Member meetings are held every other month during the equipping hour or after the service. New member candidates are introduced to the current members for consideration of membership. Should no concerns arise within two weeks, the candidate is confirmed and presented as a new member at a worship service.
